Cutler Releases First TV Ad in Governor's Race
AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) _ Independent gubernatorial candidate Eliot Cutler has released his first television advertisement.
The ad launched Tuesday touts Cutler's business experience. Cutler highlights a company he helped start after the 2010 campaign that he says has sold more than 5 million pounds of Maine lobster to China.
Cutler says that Maine needs a governor who ``knows how to create jobs and open new doors'' for local products.
The ad is the first in a series and will run on broadcast and cable television statewide.
It comes a day after Cutler was endorsed by independent Sen. Angus King.
Democrat Mike Michaud launched his first television advertisement earlier this month. Gov. Paul LePage's campaign has yet to release an ad, but the Republican Governors Association recently began airing one in Maine.
